Fly Oz was founded on a simple idea: flight training should be transparent, practical and focused on outcomes. No inflated promises. No hidden costs. Just a clear path from where you are now to a professional flying career.
Since 2013, we have trained commercial and airline pilots from our base in Cowra, NSW: one of Australia's most consistent flying environments.
We deliberately design our operations around quality, transparency, and personal student flight time.
Cowra averages over 300 flyable days per year. More flying days means fewer delays and a predictable path to graduation.
We keep our student numbers low deliberately. Enjoy more direct access to dedicated instructors and aircraft.
You will train in well-maintained aircraft used in real commercial operations. No simulators substituted where actual flight time counts.
Whether you target charter flying, flight instruction, or regional airlines, your course structure is calibrated for high performance.
Cowra is a supportive, quiet regional environment allowing you to live, breathe, and study aviation with zero city distractions.

Most flight schools operate from busy metro airports where you spend as much time in holding patterns as you do learning. Cowra gives you uncongested airspace, consistent weather and a training environment designed for progress, not traffic management.
It is also one of the most affordable places to live during your training. Lower rent, lower living costs and a community that genuinely welcomes student pilots.
Too many students start training without a clear understanding of what it will cost, how long it will take or what they will actually be qualified to do at the end. At Fly Oz, we lay it all out before you commit. Real costs. Realistic timelines. Honest conversations about where each pathway leads.
Our graduates work across Australian aviation, from regional charter and aerial survey to flight instruction and airline operations. We do not guarantee job placements, but we train pilots that employers want to hire.
Graduates fly for regional charter companies, aerial survey firms and freight operators across rural and remote Australia.
Many graduates return to the cockpit as flight instructors; building hours, mentoring the next generation and progressing toward airline roles.
Several Fly Oz graduates have gone on to fly for regional and national airlines, building on the CPL foundation they earned in Cowra.
Choosing where to train is a big decision. We would rather you visit, meet the team, join us for our Friday barbecue and see the aircraft than take our word for it.
Talk to our team about the course that suits you, what it costs and how to fund it.
