What is the Instructor Ready Package?

This qualification of combined AVI50222 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence), AVI50519 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating), and AVI50419 Diploma of Aviation (Flight Instructor) prepares you for a complete aviation career with flying, instrument navigation, and instructional expertise.

  • Ground briefings demonstrated to you, then practiced and delivered back by you
  • Theory classes for Principles and Method of Instruction(PMI) to prepare you for the CASA theory exam

Fly Oz Syllabus completes the CPL portion of the training syllabus for the Commercial Pilot Licence and Flight Instructor in the Cessna 206. The Instrument Rating is conducted in the Beechcraft Duchess multi-engine aircraft, so you will be fully job ready upon completion of this combined aviation diploma course.

Entry Requirements

  • Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • Aviation English ICAO Level 6 or IELTS 6.0 (International students must provide a current English Language Assessment with their application)
  • Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
  • Aviation Reference Number (ARN)
  • Be at least 17 years of age, have a Year 12 Certificate or completed a Certificate 4. Otherwise, a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test will be needed. These can be conducted either in person here in the school, or online via Zoom.

Volume of Learning

This will vary depending on the level of your qualification, experience, and competency. As per the Australian Quality Framework, students must complete the allocated hours for the qualification they are undertaking to achieve competency. If you apply for Recognition of Prior Learning or Credit Transfer, the volume of learning may be reduced.

Course Structure

This combined aviation diploma course is structured to ensure that you’ll receive adequate training in AVI50222 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence), AVI50519 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating), and AVI50419 Diploma of Aviation (Flight Instructor).
